Chocolate Peanut Butter Green Smoothie
1 cup milk of choice (I used plain* almondmilk)
2 tbsp natural peanut butter
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
sweetener, to taste
1 scoop protein* powder
pinch of xanthan gum
1/4 cup water
1 cup chopped kale
1 cup ice
Mix protein powder with water until it forms a liquid consistency. Add protein mixture, milk, peanut butter, cocoa powder, xanthan gum, sweetener and ice to blender.
Pulse blender a few times to break up ice, then blend until mixture reaches a uniform consistency. Add kale and continue to blend on high power, until thoroughly blended. Add additional ice or liquid, as needed.
