I'm also not really one for "diet" foods. I know there are a lot of schools of thought about this, especially when it comes to dairy (full fat, or fat free? ultra-pasteurized or straight-from-the-cow? true dairy, or dairy alternatives?), but for the most part, I subscribe to the non-diet mentality: lots of veggies, some fruit, and lots of quality protein and fats. I'm not a huge dairy fan in general and typically use Silk almond milk as cereal companion but have the occasional plain Greek yogurt (Liberte or Fage are my favorites) for breakfast or in smoothies.
BUT. Then this stuff appeared in our freezer. Enter Healthy Choice's Strawberry Greek Frozen Yogurt.

Review:
Okay, as previously mentioned I am not much of a fruity dessert fan. Or a dairy fan. Or a fad diet fan. So what could I possibly like about this super processed fruity ice cream from a diet company? Uh...it's seriously delicious. I'm not sure that it actually qualifies as true Greek yogurt but it's definitely healthier than most ice cream choices out there. It's also portion controlled. And most importantly, it's really good. The "yogurt" is thick and creamy and the strawberry swirl actually tastes like real fruit. Plus, if you are simply basing this on nutrition facts, you could replace the milk in your cereal and feel like you are eating ice cream for breakfast. Score!
The company also makes similar products in Blueberry, Vanilla, Raspberry and Dark Chocolate Fudge flavors, which I am excited about trying out as well.
Verdict: Buy it. But eat slowly - brain freeze ruins all the fun!
